7-04-08 Duck Parade

We've received the registration form for the 4th of July Parade and need to submit it in the next month or so.

Check in is at 8:30 am.
Parade begins at 9:00 am.

Please let me know here who is interested in participating as I need to let them know how many vehicles to expect.

For those of you that would like to participate in the Duck 4th of July parade
we will be meeting that friday morning in the RiteAid (formerly eckerds) parking lot at the intersection of 158 and hwy 12 in Kitty Hawk between 8 and 8:15am. We will be leaving for Duck no later than 8:25 am. We will be heading to Plover Drive where we must be staged by 8:40am.
Who has the FFC Banner? We will need it for the parade. Be sure to decorate you car for the 4th! Let me know if you will be attending. 491-5214 or respond here or email me ..Di

I just received a call from the Town of Duck... we have to be at Plover Street no later than 8:15 am!!!!

This means the current arrangement will not work. Until Di verifies... I would suggest meeting and departing no later than 8:00 am.

I just spoke to Kathy and she says it will be ok for us to arrive by 8:30 to 8:40. They have people calling entrants and asking for earlier arrivals, but Kathy said since we don't have any major decorating to do we wouldnt need to be there any earlier than 8:30 so Our plan stands that meeting at Rite-Aid (formerly Eckerds) in Kitty Hawk back parking lot at 8am and all leaving together by 8:15 or 8:20 at the very latest.
Yes it is ok to throw candy if you can do it properly, like an underhand toss. We dont want kids darting into the street. also she asks that you save the majority of your treats for the final leg of the parade. As most people are at the end and a lot of folks have run out by then.

The parade doesnt start till 9 am so we will have 20 to 30 min to decorate once we get there.
