Just a heads-up to travelers passing through, or from, Virgina Beach: Twice while re-fueling at the Wawa gas station at night, we were approached by a young man in military fatigues asking for $5.00 saying that he had to get back to his base but was out of fuel and money. The first time was about eight months ago, the most recent two weeks ago. Both times the fellow was the same well spoken, Caucasian male, 5'6"-5'7", light build, with short light brown hair and Grey attire. He returned to a late '80s-1990s blue Dodge van with Pa. tags. The VB police were interviewing him after we spoke with them on leaving, but he might be back or in the neighborhood. Safe travels, -DT
