Uploading Pictures to our Galleries

There are file size limitations to the pictures you may upload to our galleries. Based on extensions(file types), they are as follows:

jpg = 600 pixels W X 600 pixels H
gif; png; jpeg; bmp = 400 pixels W X 600 pixels H

The program will automatically resize your pictures for you, the only time this is going to come into play is in consideration to the time it takes to upload. If your photos are within the size limitations, they will upload faster. If not, it will take a few seconds longer...

To create your own albumn...

If you are a paid FFC club member:

1. Go to: FFC Members Gallery

2. In the Quick Upload box, click Browse
This will take you to the files located on your computer. Find the file you'd like to upload; click it to highlight it blue and then click Open. This will place the file in the upload box. Fill out Image Title and if you'd like the Description and Keywords and then click Upload.

This will automatically create your own personal gallery titled with your screen name within the FFC Members Gallery. This is yours... only you can upload photos to this location.

From here, you may continue to upload photos one at a time the same way you uploaded the first one. All subsequent photos will join the first in the same gallery.

To upload multiple photos at once:

From the Galleries main page; find and click Upload in the NavBar directly above the box of 5 Newest Images. You would follow the same instructions for locating and choosing the photos as above but you have the option of 3 instead of 1.

Enter a title and if you'd like a description.

Be certain to choose a Category for your files to upload to. If you choose Members Galleries the photos will automatically go to your gallery. You may also choose one of the event categories as well. Chosing an event gallery by title will place those photos in that gallery.

If you are a Reader, i.e. non club member...

We want to see your photos too!! You would follow the exact same instructions above but instead of choosing FFC Members Galleries you would choose Readers Galleries.

The difference in Members Galleries vs. Readers Galleries

As of right now there is no difference in the abilities of the 2 categories... in the future, the Readers Galleries will be limited in the number of files you'll be able to upload. Membership should have it's priveledges. That said, we have some very loyal readers and I'd like to reward them for participation. I'd also like to one day entice you to join the club as well!!

Feel free to post here and/or PM me with any issues you may have uploading your photos. I have only tested the galleries under my username so far... so I don't know if something is not quite right outside of admin.
