View Full Version : Christmas Lights
December 16th, 2009, 10:09 AM
Eddie and I were thinking in the spirit of the holidays we would cruise around to look at all the lights and thought it may be fun with a group. If you're interested, we could go on Tuesday (12/22) night.
Let me know if anyone would like to go and I'll put together a course that will include a bite to eat at Hooters! Be sure to let me know of locations you'd like to include.

It looks like there are quite a few interested. The 3 locations we'd really like to visit would be:
1. Eddie and Kim's house in Colington
2. The Polous' in Kill Devil Hills
3. Michael's house in Manns Harbor
Should we meet at Hooters for a bite to eat and plan to depart there say by 7:00 to give those that have to work late time to get there? The loop with stops will probably take some time.

That sounds good to me. See you at Hooters.

We should be there too.

Sounds like 3 great sites to see. If anybody knows of any other houses that would be good to see, let us know. This should be a lot of fun.

well since we are already going to manns harbor we should check out the post office, its set to music:rockon:

Perfect!! Thanks for the tip about the Post Office. The 3 I had noted were actual stops where the lights were either set to music or extensive, where a 'drive by' wouldn't provide enough time to appreciate. We'll add the PO to the list! :)

Claude and myself will ride along.

We had agreat turnout and saw some beautiful light displays including Kim & Eddie Cox's. Thanks for setting this up Anissa.

Absolutely!! We had a blast!! Not only were the scheduled stops amazing displays, but the rest of the communities we drove through were beautifully decorated as well.
On a not so good note, James' Impala had a run in (literally) with a baby bear on the way home. He's okay and the car was not as damaged as he thought it would be, but I don't think the bear faired as well...

Yes it was a good time, that stinks about James. Just glad he is OK.

Glad to have you all! And be careful out there the next week or so...
