Thanks,

Personally, I have a Samsung 50" plasma and I absolutely love it. My recommendation (if you haven't bought the TV yet) is don't bother with their in home warranty as this isn't an area that is covered. I found out the hard way.

If you're getting a Hi-Def TV, then definately get an HDMI DVD player, but get the HDMI cable online. It will save you A LOT of money.

As far as the DVD player is concerned, let me know what your future wants are, and I can recommend.

Mike, I'm just looking for a dvd player to play movies. And upconvert?? I'm no audiophile just want a decent setup. LCD TV maybe plasma, DVD, maybe a little Home Theater setup. Nothing real fancy just something that when I turn it on it works and work right. Something in the $2500-3500 range.

Is that total investment in all components?

I have some real nice recommendations if you're interested and I can save you a bit of money too, and it has nothing to do with Geico.

Mike,

Shoot away. I'll listen to any recommendations you have. Yes my total budget for this project is $2500-3500 I have seen the TV I have listed at Abes of Maine for $1850. But if you have a better Idea go for it the only limitation I have is the max size I can fit in my Living Room is 46".

Thanks in advance for your help,
