Cruise - Sunday August 10th

Just a head up to a LOCAL cruise that is growing and growing by the minute!! Do you remember the cruise to little Washington/Greenville? Well, this could be a repeat!

Ben(USSVET) is coordinating a cruise from Greenbriar Mall to the OBX the morning of August 10th(Sunday). We will be meeting his group at the Sonic in Grandy at about 9:15 am. For those on the beach, we'll meet at Hooters at 8:30 with plans to leave no later than 8:50 am.

Then we'll all cruise back to the beach, down the beach road with the final destination being the Dunes Restaurant.

This will be an excellent opportunity to meet and get to know those you show with all the time! Clubs that have been invited so far are, SEVMC; the Chrome Ponys and of course us! If you know anyone that is not a member of a local club or a club that should be notified, please ask them to come along, either from our end or the VA end!!

We will need a head count for the Dunes no later than 8/05/08!! So please either RSVP here or give me a call!

If you can, please plan to attend. Let's show everyone how much we love the automobile(and motorcycles) on the Outer Banks!!!

Next time don't park the Mach under the pines then you can spend 1 hour cleaning and 2 hours on Rum. :rolling: Look forward to finally meeting you. Sounds like there will be a good group from our club and a big group from SEVMC coming down. Should be a lot of fun!

The Chrome Ponies are bringing 6 cars. Coupled with Ben's numbers, we're up to 30! Still waiting to hear from the Buick/Caddy club... Sunday is looking great!!

ok then, can i borrow some money. afterall, the harley shop is my only source of income for the next month. i'm attending school all week. my brain is fried already learning about anatomy, physiology, the endochrine systmem, the ciculatory system, the nervous system, medial and disal pulses, I could go on and on and on...blah blah blah blah blah. OOh sorry, brain is on meltdown mode. :D just think though, the club will be safer when i'm done. :)

Oh no, another Mustang! LOL We might have as many Stangs in our club as the Ponies. This is shaping up to be a very fun cruise. The only one I've been on w/ more cars was a BMW Club cruise. I won't tell you the speed we were traveling down back roads in VA w/ over 85 cars except that I could hardly keep up because I didn't have an M3!

WOW!! If my count is correct(and I'm sure it's off a bit), we had at least 44 cars turn out today for the cruise to the Dunes!! :clap: Of course of those 44... there were 30 Mustangs! :p The transition to the Beach Road didn't go all that poorly for the middle of August, finishing the day with a great meal at the Dunes. I hope all of our visitors had as much fun as we did and that they will cruise down here again real soon!

What a great cruise! Awesome to see that many people come down. The drive down to the Dunes was as good as we could hope for considering it was a check-in day in the middle of summer. I think the day would have continued had the rain not come in. I got about 1 mile up the road from the Dunes and the bottom dropped out! Oh well, it is only water (even if it does start dripping on your feet through your dash :eek:. A great turn out by not only our club but also the Chrome Ponies and SEVMC!! Can't wait to do it again!!!

Hey, the Vintage Races are on Sat 9/27, maybe a multi-group cruise out to VIR in Danville?

I think the car you're talking about is a Roush. Anissa could tell you more but I believe it is a least a Stage 2 which is Appearance package (Stage 1) and brakes and handling (Stage 2). I never saw under the hood which is the Stage 3 supercharged like Eddie's.
